Welcome to the 2011 River To River Festival! The presenting partners are thrilled to share exciting and free arts programming with you throughout this special 10th anniversary season.

This year we’ve been working with the theme “Made In New York” and focused many of our programs on iconic New York artists and institutions. From Patti Smith and Laurie Anderson to STREB, Jules Feiffer and an Evening At The Bottom Line we have assembled a line-up that celebrates the creativity and vitality of New York City.
 
This is not only the 10th anniversary of the Festival but a transitional year as Lower Manhattan Cultural Council takes over from the Alliance for Downtown New York as lead producing partner. As we look back on the past 10 years and forward towards the future, we have begun the process of reimagining the Festival by concentrating our activities from June 19 – July 16. This is the first step in building a densely programmed, curated and focused multidisciplinary arts festival akin to other festivals around the world. Over the next few years LMCC will work with our presenting partners at Arts World Financial Center, Battery Park City Authority, and The Seaport to build River To River into the “jewel in the crown” of summer Downtown, offering an ever-evolving array of stellar arts programs, for free, to the community.
